A smooth easy moving dog who never took a wrong step. His feet traveled close to the ground at any speed. No wasted effort. At 7 years of age he was a standout. A proven producer of excellent progeny all mimicking the soundness of structure, correct balanced front reach and rear drive, strong straight back, correct coup and tail set.
As dogs age their pigment lightens (as do we with our graying hair), I would like to see stronger pigmentation but having judged him as a 3-year-old, I know as a youngster he exhibited great color.
I thank the dog judge Bob Slay for sending him to me from the Veteran’s class. Bob told me he had given this dog a Best in Show on several occasions. Fritz is the Standard in my opinion. Strong masculine head, correct stop, correctly sized ears, excellent shoulder layback, and correctly sized angled fore-assembly, and 50/50 body depth to height. He is an upper medium sized dog with a straight back and a relatively short, broad and strong loin and a gradually sloping croup and correct tail set.
Thank you Scott Yergin for a beautiful presentation and always letting the dog stand squarely on 4 feet. Sire of 30 Champions to date.
